Maria + Harrison
Reading Farms Estate
Maria and Harrison chose the spectacular Reading Farms Estate for their classic, autumn wedding. The estate lies in the heart of romantic, rural Vermont with charming Woodstock Village and Killington Ski resort just minutes away. It is one of the "signature properties" in Vermont and has been featured in Architectural Digest and appeared on the cover of House Beautiful magazine. The secluded estate is located on a one mile private drive which gracefully winds through a beautiful forest to open fields. The late 18th century brick farmhouse is enhanced by 21st century additions. An old-World European influenced style courtyard entrance welcomes arrivals, with entrances to the main house, guest suites, and formal gardens and direct access to their helipad. Other rooms in this gracious 25,000 sq ft property include a library, breakfast room, work office, formal living room, family room, gourmet kitchen, 15 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, arcade game room, theatre, gym, entertainment barn, pond and pool.
Arturo from On Thyme Events was absolutely amazing, a pleasure to work with. His friendly welcome, timeline schedule, decorations, catering and organization were exemplary. I cannot recommend him enough as one of the finest event planners in New England.
Maria and Harrison opted not to have a wedding "party" choosing a more intimate feel to the ceremony. I am actually seeing this more and more with my couples, preferring to keep their wedding day stress to a minimum, which allows more time for their guests, each other and frees up some of that "formal photography" timeline as well.
Sounds like a sweet recipe for an easy breezy day doesn’t it?
So, on that note here are some of my favorite photos:
