Woodstock, Vermont Portrait Sessions

Below are images from "Featherstone" in Woodstock, Vermont, where I do a lot of my local portrait photography. No matter the time of year, the grounds are perfect for outdoor lifestyle and fine art photography. Beautiful summer gardens, woodlands, ponds and streams slowly change to a brilliant foliage of reds, pinks and golds and then to an almost medieval winter landscape of frosty griffins, stone walls and winter woods. There are also a lot of props available: *smoke grenades, Venetian masks, swords, Georgia O' Keeffe style skulls, medieval capes, and beautiful fabrics from all parts of the world, as well as vintage teddy bears, bubble machines and toys for the younger set.

I have a "portable studio" set up for the classical style portraits as well and several backdrops from fantasy wonderlands, opulent interiors and  deconstructed factories to old masters.

Hair and make-up artists are also available on request.

Equestrian? Feel free to bring your horse as there is a trailer loading area and 4 acres to explore and if you want, you can continue up the road to the Coolidge Nation Park with miles of trails to enjoy. Dogs also welcome!

Only a few minutes from town, some sessions start here and then progress to the covered bridge, Billings Farm and other local landmarks.
